Rowdy Ruby
Gassers are a classic type of car that originated in the 1930s and were popular through the mid-1960s. These cars are typically stripped of interior, glass windows, and some metal body panels, which are replaced with fiberglass ones. This 1965 Chevrolet Chevy II gasser, nicknamed "Rowdy Ruby," truly lives up to its reputation!
During the construction of this car, only the best components were used. Notably, the car features dual C&S carburetors protruding from the hood, drawing immediate attention. Under the hood, the imposing 671 Blower, built by Don Hampton, force-feeds the Dart 355 small block with Dart Aluminum heads. The engine is paired with a Muncie M22 Rock Crusher transmission with a scatter shield. Power is delivered to the ground through a Danny Miller Ford 9” rear end with posi and 4.11 gears. To keep the rear end stable, a set of Cal Tracs is installed, known for their exceptional performance.
The car is adorned in a stunning metallic red exterior paint and retains all the original trim, a rarity for a 1965 Chevy II. The interior is impeccably executed, with a roll cage seamlessly integrated without any alterations. The all-black interior houses bucket seats, a floor-mounted Hurst shifter, a rear bench seat, and beautiful door panels. This ride is all metal and has never been cut on at all. A comprehensive set of documentation accompanies the car for the next owner. This is a ride that you won't want to miss!
